The second artifact is a Metal Detector that I created using Unreal Engine 4. I selected this artifact because it displays my use of some hitscan functions as well as detecting hitboxes. It also uses procedurally generated ground in order to create destructible terrain to hide the "treasure" which also have separate values based on color. The biggest challenge I faced when creating this project was having the treasure close enough to the destructible terrain so that the metal detector would collide with the hitbox, without making the hitbox too big. I also added some simulated water, which took awhile to learn as well.
